About the training
Through this voice-activated immersive learning experience, you’ll apply the ACE model close to home, developing awareness and intervention strategies to connect a spouse to care when risk factors first appear.
In this scenario, you are connected with a fictional husband who is a senior leader in the military so you can practice identifying risk factors and enacting intervention strategies from a spouse’s point of view. You notice your husband’s behavior has been changing; he’s showing signs of increased alcohol consumption, insomnia, chronic back pain and headaches. You have a chance to develop communication strategies to first get him to open up about what he’s experiencing, then assess his suicide risk, and finally make a plan to seek help.
