Suicide Prevention
Junior Enlisted
About the training
In this voice-activated immersive learning experience, you’ll receive coaching first, then you’ll practice using the ACE model through a conversation–developing communication skills to ask important questions and to persuade someone to access appropriate resources.
In this scenario, a team member’s ex-girlfriend has noticed that he’s making troubling posts online, and she asks you to check on him since you live close by. Last month he came back from his first deployment. Yesterday, he had an ND at a shoot house and has a counseling scheduled with his squad leader for Monday morning. You check in on him at home and ask questions to show you care, assess lethal means safety, and escort him to further help.
