About the training
In this immersive, voice-activated, virtual-reality learning experience, learners explore the nuances of leadership called to address performance problems that stem from underlying personal challenges. Develop skills to remain calm under pressure while inquiring about performance issues rather than rushing to make assumptions, taking sides, or forcing punitive action. Practice holding your ground and effectively seeking the root causes of problems. This is an opportunity to facilitate difficult conversations between service members of different ranks while building understanding, trust, and commitment to improved communication and performance.
Scenario:
Set in an operational military environment recovering from a safety incident, the learner plays the role of a leader approached by another leader seeking punitive action against a junior team member. The learner has the opportunity to speak with this leader one-on-one, then the junior team member responsible for the incident, and then finally to bring the two together to seek a path forward.
